The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations also called CISCE is a private Board of School Education in India. The board was founded in the year 1958. The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Indian School Certificate (ISC) are national level examinations conducted by the CISCE for Class 10 and Class 12 respectively. Both ICSE and ISC examinations are known for their voluminous and extensive exam syllabus.

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations conducts the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) exam for Class 10 students, the Indian School Certificate (ISC) exam for Class 12 students and the Certificate in Vocational Education (CVE – Year 12).
ICSE Exam (Class X)
The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) has been designed to provide an exam in a course of general education according to the New Education policy 1986. The exam is conducted for Class 10 students. There are 7 subjects in the examination, out of which 4 are compulsory subjects, and 3 have a choice of subjects.
ISC Exam (CLASS XII)
The ISC exam is conducted through the medium of English for those students who are completing their Class 12 from the board. Students must have English as one of their subjects in the examination.
C.V.E (Year 12)
The Certificate of Vocational Education Examination (C.V.E – Year 12) can be taken by students after 2 year course of studies beyond ICSE exam or any equivalent exam.
